Damage Incorporated's Route
This was both my highest scoring and furthest distance scramble, although Boyd did cover more distance going solo in Bellevue. We decided to start to the south since the hills are biggest there and we were going to have fresher legs as opposed to last year finishing to the south. Our original plan was to consider #45 in Lake Forest Park, but we decided to abandon that hill climb and just continue on to #35 (Jackson School). We did manage to pick up #46 which wasn't on our original route plan. We considered #51 (metal sculpture), but realized that it would be about an additional 2.5 - 3 miles and we already went out of our way on a "there and back" checkpoint to get #46. We continued on Grand Avenue, pretty much retracing last year's route in reverse. Unfortunately I forgot about #22 and #37 since we changed streets to get down to #46. Luckily I caught that when we got to the downtown checkpoints and we had time to catch them. We continued on around the north tip to the community college area and then came south and started working our way east. We also covered a lot of the same ground here that we did last year. We ended up catching 22 through 26 and 37 at the end and finished with a little less than 4 minutes left for a total of 570 points and 13 1/3rd miles traveled.
