Teriyaki Donut's route and report

Our route. 990 points (all checkpoints, 1 minute late) in a little under 20 miles. This is the highest score yet for either of us, and the first time that I know of that a family team has swept the course.

The grade climbing Graham Hill on Holly St. east of Seward Park Ave is apparently 15.3%, and it's cobblestoned for one block. The grade on Dawson heading up Beacon Hill is around 12%, but it's a longer hill, and it came near the end of the ride, so it felt a lot harder. Neither climb would have been necessary if, as Dave Enger pointed out, I had just done the route in reverse with one change (57 [Dearborn Park] to 48 [sign in house window] to 56 [Planet Georgetown], then up Swift to Beacon Ave). Most aggravating is that I had convinced myself beforehand to do the route counterclockwise, as I knew the climb up Graham Hill was best from the south, and then completely forgot about it and did it clockwise. Arrgh.

I saw the homeowner outside at 36 (parking meters), and gave a brief explanation of what all the various visitors were doing, along with the website address.
