How much is Rice and Teriaki
A couple of you questioned the Rice and Teriaki answer in the 90 minute race but Eric was sure of the answer so it stood.
However after 3 of the 1st 4 3 hour teams got it wrong we decided that there was enough evidence of confusion and marked both answeres correct for the 3 hour people.
Eric is going back to fix the 90 minute people before he posts results.
What was the correct answer,
What was the correct answer, as we got back for the 3-hour awards just after they wrapped them up? I think we saw $1.00 for rice and $.25 for sauce = $1.25.

If I remember right, we saw $0.75...
It read "Rice with Teriyaki sauce $0.75". I didn't notice if there were separate prices for rice and sauce individually, but if so, that would definitely be misleading.
I guess the unfortunate
I guess the unfortunate thing is that one of the unintended answers actually existed on the menu. I'm thinking it was for a side of rice ($1) and a side of teriyaki sauce ($.25). I was there just after another team had arrived and we started scanning and came up with the same answer.

That sound like possibly the
That sound like possibly the explanation. Apparantly there was a sign in the place described in the questson that said "Rice and Teriaki 75c". Eric knows this becuase while making the course he purchased the item!
I think there were 2-3 teams that put $1.25 in the 90 minutes event which didn't seem enough to set a precedent. But when we got several more in the 3 hours (and NOBODY was getting the 3rd answer) an exective decision was made.
If the score change means you missed out on the Disney Chocolate you are welcome to what is left of mine...
Different menus
David Barbe described the situation pretty well. Some teams came up with the $1.25 answer by adding the prices of rice ($1.00, near the top of the menu) and teriyaki sauce ($0.25, near the bottom) from the menu to the left of the window. As Andy says, I went back to Hana restaurant to get some rice and teriyaki sauce and then noticed the current menu to the left of the window. I asked for a double order of rice but didn't see that teriyaki sauce was also on the menu, so I figured the question was still okay. Sorry about the confusion, and as Andy said, both answers were given credit in the final results tabulation.

How picky should we be??
My son, who ran the course, got $0.75 while my wife, who was walking with me, chose $1.25.
But the descriptor for the checkpoint specifically said to look "above the order window".
My wife's answer came from the menu to the left of the window. My son's from above.
