The Cardinals: Crossroads Street Scramble

Saturday’s Crossroads Street Scramble was great and our best ever (point-wise). Just three of us participated in this Street Scramble (Brian, Gwen, and Cameron—Corinne was at a slumber party the night before and just stayed until the afternoon). We rode our bikes and Cameron rode on the pedal trailer.

We were more aggressive with our route planning for this Street Scramble. Our route ended up being: S-34-24-15-23-33-41-22-45-53-11-44-37-56-43-26-54-31-13-52-36-51-42-46-12-E for 760 points. We rode 21 miles in 3 hours (the most distance we’ve done in a Street Scramble).

Our favorite part of the Street Scramble was the gravel paths linking checkpoints 31, 13, and 52. We especially enjoyed riding by Larsen Lake, seeing the lake and the birds.

Our traveled route was pretty much our planned route. We added checkpoint 56 after checkpoint 37 and we removed checkpoints 14 and 25 in favor of having time to get the higher point checkpoints (checkpoints 51 and 42).
